About

I am a 30-year old, Midwest-raised, virologist & aspiring infectious disease physician-scientist. My research attempts to better understand the molecular mechanisms of innate immunity during viral infections. I am also particuarly passionate about K-12 teaching in STEM subjects.

In my free time, I enjoy baking/fermenting, solving guessing at NYT crosswords, playing with my shiba inu puppy, League of Legends, hiking/camping, and classical music. My favorite beer is Indeed Mexican Honey and my favorite style of wine is Vinho Verde. I used to play blindfold chess, but now I wear glasses.
